Events
Events on fun.social let you gather your friends around a shared moment—whether it’s an in-person meetup, a virtual hangout, or something in between. Events give you a space to plan, share, and remember the occasion together.
Creating an Event
When creating an event, you’ll set the date and time of the event and choose a location, which can be physical or digital. You’ll then be able to invite your friends, who can RSVP as “Going” or “Not Going.” Events you RSVP to will appear in your Upcoming Events list.
All events on fun.social are either:
Private: Only invited users can view or access the event.
Public (within Social): Viewable and followable by your friends and their networks, depending on how you share it.
Before the Event
Leading up to the event, the event feed functions like a private group space for those attending. You and other invitees can post plans, updates, or general discussion to the event’s feed—only visible to those who have been invited.
During the Event
Once the event starts, the feed shifts to focus on event-specific content—photos, updates, and posts captured during the event itself. This period continues for 24 hours after the scheduled end time.
This dedicated event feed keeps the moment alive and allows attendees to share highlights while it’s fresh.
After the Event
Once the 24-hour post-event window ends, the event becomes closed to new posts. At this point, the event creator has the option to turn the content into a scrapbook—a preserved memory of everything shared during the event window.
These scrapbooks will be saved to your Past Events section, available to all attendees who were part of the event.
