Circles & Groups
Circles and Groups are ways to organize and share content with select people on Social. While both let you narrow who sees what, they serve different purposes—Circles are private to you, while Groups are shared spaces between multiple users.
Circles
Circles let you create personalized, private feeds to follow and share with specific sets of friends—like “Family,” “Coworkers,” or “College Friends.”
Only you can see your circles, and people aren’t notified when they’re added.
You can view a feed showing only posts from members of a circle.
You can post to a circle, making that content visible only to those users. The post will appear as normal to them, but won’t be visible to anyone outside the circle.
Circles are a flexible way to keep your social experience more organized and intentional.
Groups
Groups are shared private spaces you create and manage with friends. All members can participate, and content is only visible to those in the group.
In a group, you can:
Post to a shared group feed
Chat in the group’s dedicated multi-room chat
Host events for members of the group
Group membership is invite-only—users must be invited by the group creator to join. Once inside, everyone has access to the same feed and features.
